LBW Movie Press Meet

Outdated Comedian blackmailing Producers?

AVS is one such outdated comedian, who has his unique style of bald head and twisted tongue dialogues. Though he started his career as an artist, he ended up burning hands with producing films. Later on, he thought of experimenting with the money of other persons and started directing films. With making some dud films, this aged comedian has bitten the mud, devastating the future of those producers.
A couple of days back, AVS celebrated his birthday and announced the possible launch of another new project that will be directed by him. An insider revealed that AVS blackmails some producers with the powers he has in the Movie Artists Association. In every decision taken by MAA, comedian AVS is the key maker and maybe he is using those powers to get producers for his dud flicks. At this time, where hit delivering directors are unable to find a producer for their next film, AVS is really great to get those money shedding babus.

Why Selva Ditched Swathi?

Selvaraghavan is one director who has a strong fascination for specific people. As a result, he makes it a point to have them in almost all his ventures. One such person is Colors Swathi but this time, though he was almost able to take her, he had to ditch her at the last minute.

It is heard that Selvaraghavan wanted to rope in Swathi for his new movie with Rana but it is heard that the tall hero made it clear that Swathi will not suit the bill. That clash eventually led to them parting ways and Rana went on to do his ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ with Puri Jagannadh.

Now, it is heard that both Selva and Rana are teaming up but then Selva had to let go of Swathi. So, he took her close and inevitably ditched her. Sources say that Rana’s heart is completely on Richa Gangopadhyay so the chances are that the Bengali beauty will bag the leading lady’s role.

Priyanka, Shahid set to rock Durban

Durban is in for some real Bollywood flavour when stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will groove to their hit numbers on January 9 at an event to celebrate 150 years of India-South Africa friendship.

The concert, which aims at bringing together the world of cricket and entertainment on a common platform, will be hosted by Anil Kapoor.

This friendship concert is an initiative by AAMEDIA, a South African corporate, and Cricket South Africa. It is being directed and executed by Wizcraft International Entertainment and Cineyug Productions.

“Wizcraft has had a very warm and welcoming relationship with South Africa. The second IIFA Weekend and Awards were held in Sun City in 2001 and we returned for the fourth edition of the same in 2003 in Johannesburg forging a strong relationship between the two countries,” Wizcraft director Sabbas Joseph said.

The event will be held in commemoration of the arrival of the first Indian labourers in 1860 to work on the sugarcane plantations in South Africa.

The concert will also honour Sachin Tendulkar and Makhaya Ntini – two great stalwarts of cricket from India and South Africa respectively.

Several South African artistes are also scheduled to perform at the event, including Liquideep, Locnville, Drum Cafe, HHP, and 1st Project.(IANS)
